Mayor Gordon supports AAF 2011 moving to Phoenix
The gathering topic was The Arab American Festival and its title as the largest Multicultural event in Arizona representing 22 countries. Mayor Phil Gordon has shown his full support to have the festival moved to The City of Phoenix in 2011 at Steele Indian School Park. In the past 2 years the festival has been hosted by City of Glendale at Murphy Park & The Amphitheater in Glendale downtown. Last year the event gathered tens of thousand of people of all different cultures in Arizona with participation of more than 80 singers, musicians and dancers from all over the Arab world. The Festival is Scheduled in 2011 to be October 22nd and 23rd. |
